What is the Procedure Like?

Have you considered cosmetic dentistry but been afraid of the procedures? Veneers make it really easy to get the look you want without spending hours upon hours in the chair! The veneer procedure spans over two appointments that are a few weeks apart.

At the first appointment, we will prepare your teeth for the veneers by removing some of the enamel from the fronts of your teeth (or tooth). We will take impressions of the prepared tooth and place temporary veneers for you to wear while your impressions are being turned into porcelain veneers.

In a few weeks, we will call you back in for your veneer placement. We will remove the temporaries and bond your permanent veneers into place. We will trim any excess from the edges and ensure that your veneers fit exactly as they should!

How Long Will My Veneers Last?

Once the procedure is complete, you are looking at many years of enjoying your smile! Accidents happen, just like they do with natural teeth, but your veneers are sturdy and secure. With good oral hygiene, we would expect your veneers to last 15-20 years or more!

You might need one replaced due to an accident, but otherwise, you should be set to enjoy those restorations for a long time to come!
